Museum Branding - Photographing all outcomes.
Proper photography of the work is key is maintaining quality across the documentation of the work, Iphone standard images are not enough and more high quality images are vital to the overall communication and presentation of the project. Using the wrapping paper as back drops many of these images have been really transformed and showcase a high level of quality. There are also images showing the full range of design applications, these weren't as successful but still showcase a quality. Overall it has been vital to document properly the outcomes for this project.
Magazine Redesign - Photography of printed magazine
To create a sense of professionalism within the outcomes of the magazine redesign I have photographed the images with an SLR camera in a studio, this ensures these images can be used in a range of contexts and showcase the quality of the work on show. The issue with the publication is that it is not really meant to be folded flat, this doesn't work as the pages are very rigid and the glue for the perfect binding is too firm. These are the only pages that would lay flat and still look professional. Giving a snap shot into the final designs.
Overall these images are perfect for usage on my website and for social media distribution.
End of year Publication - BAGD - Photography of work
In response the level of quality photography that is seen across editorial design online, photographing a high quality mock up design, showcasing all of the various spreads, how the information will be read and how the design utilises the die cut shapes for displaying a number of different designs. The choice of black background is to show off the white of the paper best. These images are now perfect for further distribution online or in portfolios.
