Cover Art By: New Music Graphics

Cover Art By: New Music Graphics, this book shows much more contemporary examples of album artworks by made my the design company New Music Graphics. I have highlighted a couple of designs that I found particularly interesting and that showed a different kind of designs that I have perviously looked at.

This design on the right shows how effective abstract graphics can be especially for album cover designs. I feel there is a great opportunity within this project to create something really abstract and conceptual and be really appropriate with the context. The use of simple white, black and red colour combinations create a striking designs. The conscious use of white space is key in making this design so engaging.

These designs are much more geometric and use form and line to show a more rhythmic design style. The use of black and white colour combinations denote a much more regimented and bauhaus kind of graphics. These designs again show a different kind of album cover design at is something I feel I must consider looking into with my design ideas.

These designs again show the more mathematical and regimented design style that allows the shapes and lines to be the main focus with the work. The way the type is used much smaller in comparison and puts the emphasis on the illustrations.
