OUGD505 - Design Practice 2 - Product Range Distribution - Refugee Research - Kindertransport survivors on todays child refugees
These audio pieces feature stories of people that have come to the UK as refugees as part of the Kindertransport, they are all really touching and amazing to hear how brave these people have been, often alone and really young coming to a country and being so grateful for the refuge. Often the UK seemed their last option and they only escaped death because of the refuge that they were given. It is really harrowing to hear these amazing people say things like they felt they had an obligation to help society once they were in the country because of the safety they had been given. 'We cant just sit at home and look at pictures [of child refugees] and not be proactive.'
This article is really touching and it is sad to see that no more is really been done by the UK government for the safety of Refugees.
