The Refugee crisis is an issue that is extremely current and divides much opinion, from some media sources there seems to really be an emphasis on the demonisation of refugees, this is an issue that is really shocking and as become a political tool for recent elections and votes in both the UK and across America.
This Unicef video compared the experiences of a Syrian refugee and a man that seeked refuge 80 years prior during the second world war. The stories are very harrowing and show such similarities in then and now. Both for example as pictured above state that they feared for their life.
This project I hope can give light to the refugee problems that our world faces and seek to open peoples eyes more to the fact these people are often at their last option and gaining access to countries is not for personal gain.
Graphically there is a clear emphasis on highlighting the sad nature of the stories, the black and white footage has been utilised. Personally this for me is not needed, the story is interesting enough and doesn't need more embellishment.
