This image shows the designs for the icon, informed by the three sections of the app it seemed appropriate to use these three shapes in the icon design. Being primary colours they really stand out and feel familiar as well relate to the idea of art. Both the Type on Screen book and the Apple ios guidelines suggested looking at the icon on a large range of scales, this would ensure is recognizable in any platform it is seen at. Overall this app icon design relates to the content of the app as well as keeping with the guidelines outlined by both the Apple IOS interface guidelines as well as the Ellen Lupton Type on Screen book.
