The old 'British Journal Of Photography' showed this use of white space and minimal designs that worked really effectively. They have recently redesigned the magazine with an emphasis on full bleed images and the use of a San Serif typeface, this design is too similar to other magazines on the shelf and a rejig of this design would have been more appropriate. The use of white space is really effective and would be an interesting design technique to look into for the Borders publication.
