OUGD505 - Design Practice 2 - Product Range Distribution - CR Redesign


The creative review redesign. Looks at using large type but in my view it has not been used very well. The overall change in the design uses a lot more white space and an organised grid with large images, on-top of this is the use of super heavy subheadings. This communication is only really relevant with some topics and I feel it is overpowering and doesn't really add to much more to the content. 

With the publication not being that big but very regular much of the space is taken up with this huge type. 

Overall I see the design is fairly limited and not reflective of the content on show. The really plain grid is a bit of a step backward in my view and some more playful and innovative design ideas would be more engaging considering they aim to 'promote creativity'.
