As something really different the current issue of Blueprint magazine is a different approach to architectural editorial. This more glossy magazine has many more adverts is much larger in size and scale and is a bit more direct in its communication. The logotype though is something really well put together as it connects to architecture really clearly.
The contents page is much more direct, showing images of each of the sections. The condensed numbers again demonstrate its connection architecture.
The pages have much more immediacy to them, this is a contrast to something like AR, More stock images show the buildings in full.
The choice to not display the images full bleed is interesting and visually is something new.
Once again the use of coloured pages is popular. Though it doesn't really offer much, a different stock choice maybe would be more effective.
Overall the Blueprint magazine offers a very different kind of architecture mag, but it is great research, in terms of how they structure the use of images and type is great to see. This will act as valuable research when designing at a later stage.
