I have designed this type specimen inspired by the cover of Grid Systems by Josef Mueller Brockmann. The white grid on with a red background with black and white text is very common within his designs. I looked at arranging the various texts around the grid to keep legibility clear yet make an engaging and different type specimen. The main focus is on the two pieces of my own typeface so I wanted this to be as clear as possible and stand out above the rest of the designs making them in bigger and in a different colour. Overall I am very pleased with the way this came out and I feel I emulated some of Josef Mueller Brockmann's design principles to make an informative and direct type specimen.
