As a pair me and James created these four story board ideas to show to the group. This one above shows an athlete in the starting blocks, running jumping into a ballet position and then landing on stage, based on the idea we had to highlight the athleticism of the dance.
Story 2. Showing a male ballet dancer lifting a weight and as the weights are right at the top changing the weight to another ballet dancer, showing one of the iconic ballet lifts.
Story 3. Again looking at the athleticism of ballet taking inspiration from boxing and the way the two would bob and weave as well as the similar feet movements, have the video flashing from ballet to boxing.
Story 4. Relating to production, showing the ballet dancer just about to begin but also show, the orchestra getting ready, the back stage team setting up, the ushers ripping the tickets, the make up team getting ready, and then all coming together with the curtain being raised. Highlighting the idea that the ballet is much more than just a dance.
