Alternative Designs for U.S currency

 This articale on Alternative Designs for U.S currency though the designs are generally pretty lacking and use some horribly dull colour tones the ideas behind each is a interesting starting point for this project.

Looking at using some more contemporary figures within american history like Martin Luther King Jr and Neil Armstrong on back notes gives them a much more current and modern feel. Even though most the people featured are mainly from the 20th century I think there is something more relatable to younger people using historical figures that may know more about. 

As I said before most of the design is pretty limited and don't really have the extended level of detail needed for a bank note design.

 
This note is the only one that features any women possibly creating a range of bank notes that only feature inspirational women could be a possible idea with a lot of important meaning and interesting and current content.

 
This design uses again more current inspirational people the design itself is much more simplistic but for the better the content then becomes the focus and there is no confusion with the meaning. The range of colours additionally create a more recognisable design. Rather than the constant use of the green that can be confusing.

Using this much more variety range of colours is a real feature of these designs and could me a possible avenue to look into.
