Feedback on Presentations.

After we submitted our presentations the teams were narrowed down to four, these groups would then present there ideas to the of first direct representatives. Our team was one of the four selected. Each team was given there feedback to improve designs as a groups. The feedback would give a overview of lots of improvements to be made across all the groups work.

Consistency seemed to be a key thing to improve upon, the designs needed to be recognisable from one to the other. Specifically to our groups work they spoke of the 60's theme not needing to be so dominant and that the colours could be described as influence by the late sixties but it would be best not to make it the underlining theme. The name NOT£$ was something highlighted as being unclear. They weren't sure if the name was just notes or notes notes notes, this shows again the need for more consistency. The imagery was seen as still a bit too bright and reducing the colours would be appropriate. With our design ideas using a square format they felt this should have been continued into every aspect of our work rather than just the logo. With the use of a CMYK half tone separation this was highlighted as something that would be really appropriate to the theme of a print based exhibition and should be really emphasised in our next design refinements.

Overall I think the thing that they wanted to see most in our branding and exhibition work was more collateral, no group printed anything to show, posters, examples of way finding. Much more physical things were needed to show how our designs would work in real life. The invites for example this needed to be nearly completely ready to print as this would need to be done right away.

I think our groups designs seemed to have a lot of work put in but our theme was not really appropriate to the exhibition and this needed to be much more considered. In this critique I felt what we needed to do was outlined very well and this should inform my further designs.
