Designed for people with little or no knowledge as a guide book for newcomers to the art of graphic design the Canon shows a simple insight into the basis of graphic design. The way it has been designed puts all the emphasis on the content being shown. The use of a consistent grid of text alongside clear images communicated the content as directly as possible. The language used is to the point and simplistic this means anyone can read the it with ease. The layout is simple yet beautifully composed all the ideas are displayed in a way that makes them incredibly clear and easy to understand. This book offers a great starting point in research for this project. The appropriate use of size is very important the book is not too large and could be carried around with ease. This is something to considered being too large would not be in anyway appropriate for this project. This book identifies its audience and delivers this very effectively.
