In our next group discussion dylan in our group made these three mood board representing three different ideas for our exhibition, the first our UV idea using the security features of anti forgery systems seen in bank notes and this being reflected in all aspects of the exhibition graphics. This idea was popular in the group, the bright lights and lines was something very different and would make sure our designs stood out.
The second mood board uses triangular shapes as the theme of the exhibition, we felt these designs didn't really reflect the themes of the exhibition and would be confusing.
The third design uses 1930's business theme using old furniture and wallpaper the designs use the name Not£$ rather than licence to print money this is something the group highlighted as an interesting change and the name Notes feels more snappy and distinct.
As a group we looked at how we could make our designs really iconic and eye catching, a sixties theme was suggested this was something I wasn't really sure on but the group seemed very keen on. The this painting Dollars by Andy Warhol, combined the interesting shapes of the currency symbols with the bright colours of the sixties that we wanted to look at. The painted dollar image seemed as if it had could be nicely recreated in prints, as this was the theme of the exhibition we knew the identity should when possible be many in analogue print process. We all agreed that to work on some ideas using this painting as a loose theme.
