Feedback on our presentation

After our presentation we received feedback on our ideas, the sixties theme in our project received a lot of criticism as it didn't really relate to the theme of money of the future, this sixties theme also seemed to get lost in our designs and wasn't very clear or consistent. Our choice of typeface was another design feature that received a lot of negative criticism, the typeface was highlighted a copy of the typeface used in the mexican world cup and subsequently not at all being appropriate for this project. The poster designs were highlighted as having way too much going on and needed a better hierarchy of information and be more subtle. With our idea of using painted desks and tables they felt these designs would take away the emphasis off the content of the exhibition and be in a way a distraction. The identity they highlighted as needing to be more consistent and the work shouldn't be recognisably different from each member in the group. They did like however like the impacting style in our designs, the bold use of colour. On top of this using our manifesto of our project at the beginning of the presentation is something they really liked but our design should have been more in touch with this. We have been asked to take our feedback and refine our ideas for another presentation.
