Creating invites

As our cover designs were so bold when we began to create the invites for this project we looked to keep the designs much mores simplistic and not overcomplicate our designs. keeping the same square format in a 12 cm by 12 cm size we began to design our invite.

Using the same Neo sans pro typeface we put together these intial designs, we spoke of the communication of the content of the exhibition needing to be really clear and consisce. The invites needed to show what the exhibition was right away. We spoke about which we felt was more appropriate aranges left or centre aligned, I thought the centre aligned worked with the opposite side however we decided to use the type left aligned this was just to insure readablity and clarity. The images below show the use of a boarder for the designs on the back, this was done to link the cover image with the information.

Looking at both black and white backgrounds to pick which felt most appropriate. The black background type seemed to be too dominate and became a bit of a eye saw.

With the informtion we spoke of how it should be changed from Production to Exhibition, and that the wording needed to emphasis that the theme is analouge print proesses.

Overall as a group I think we were really happy with how the invitations looked and it was just a matter of printing them. The consistency has been really emphasised thoughout all our designs. This invitation is an exellent example of this.
